Best Call Center Solution
Gala Technology garners its third straight Customer Choice award in the Best International CNP Program, but this year, it has added the Judges Choice honor, sweeping the category for the first time. And, in a year the pandemic has devastated physical merchants across the globe, the U.K.-based company says a quick, easy and cost-effective solution was needed to enable them to either quickly expand or spin up digital options and accept secure and compliant online payments.
Gala’s flagship solution, SOTpay, simplifies complex PCI DSS compliance and removes sensitive card data from homeworking environments, while limiting the risk of fraud related chargebacks. The company says it has been working with clients across Europe as part of ongoing disaster recovery plans, whose importance has been demonstrated over the past year.
“Working alongside our acquiring partners, we have been a constant source of support to merchants whose businesses were on the verge of collapse,” the company said. “Whether it was helping restaurants with their click and collect services, supporting the hospitality sector with ‘touchless’ payment solutions or enabling retailers to continue to trade when their premises were closed by the government.”
In one success story, Gala helped a boutique based in Prestbury, U.K., known for top-quality second-hand haute couture clothing and accessories, after the store was forced to close its iconic pink doors along with most other non-essential businesses last in March of 2020. The store’s owner, Christine Colbert, decided to take her business online and hope for the best. Colbert used SOTpay to implement a click-and-collect service. She promoted the online store via Instagram with daily videos showcasing the items for sale in the shop and the response was fantastic. Comments flooded in as did the sales.
“All of a sudden, we were selling directly on Facebook and Twitter and not only was I servicing the clients in our locality, we were now serving customers across Europe, without the fear of fraud,” said Colbert. “And it gave my customers confidence that I was a trusted retailer with secure payment gateway.”
