DJ Murphy | Editor-in-Chief, Card Not Present
As editor-in-chief of CardNotPresent.com, D.J. Murphy has day-to-day control of the editorial content on the Website and serves as the publication’s main reporter and writer. He brings more than 15 years of media and corporate experience to the company.
Prior to CardNotPresent.com, Murphy served as Associate Editor for Paybefore—a family of primarily electronic publications focused on the prepaid card industry—where he wrote, edited and produced its most-read publication, Paybefore News and created its non-U.S. counterpart Paybefore News International. He also contributed heavily to Paybefore’s other publications: Paybefore Update, Paybefore Magazine
During his career, Murphy has served in a variety of roles in both new and traditional media including as an internal publications writer/editor and corporate communications manager at Sovereign Bank, a producer at ABC’s Enhanced Television, an editor and writer at ESPN.com and in ESPN’s television programming department. He has also worked as a freelance writer and columnist.
Jaime McAuley | Marketing Director, Card Not Present and CNP Summit
Jaime McAuley has been in the events industry for nearly 13 years and joined Reed Exhibitions, the leading global exhibition organizer, in 2006. Jaime recently joined the CardNotPresent team in August 2017 and is eager to drive the overall marketing strategy and execution of the CNP brands. Jaime’s journey with Reed Exhibitions began when she joined its North America central marketing team working across multiple events including the PGA Merchandise Show and ReedPop’s New York Comic Con. It was a role Jaime considered pivotal to building her knowledge of the exhibitions market and resulted in her move to Reed’s ibtm events portfolio in 2012, becoming Marketing Director of AIBTM (the America’s Incentive Business Travel and Meetings Expo) now known as ibtm Americas.
Throughout Jaime’s career, she was able to lead successful marketing campaigns for major events in the travel, retail and digital space. Jaime is enthusiastic to share her learnings and trade show expertise and experience with the CNP team.
Michael Mersha | Creative Director, Card Not Present
Michael Mersha [Mik] is the creative director for CardNotPresent.com and contributes significantly to the evolving look of CardNotPresent.com as well as merchant/vendor relations and subscriber engagement. In addition to founding his own design company to work with corporate clients, Mik has previously served as a marketing manager for The Real School of Music in Burlington, Mass. and an art director at Coptech Digital, Inc.
Karisse Hendrick | Editor-at-Large, Card Not Present
Karisse Hendrick, CardNotPresent.com’s editor-at-large, has become a passionate advocate for merchants as they navigate the online payments world. She contributes content and thought leadership to CardNotPresent.com and the CNP Summit and also conceives and executes special projects, all with the wants and needs of merchants firmly in mind.
Most recently, Hendrick served as program manager for the Americas and in-house industry expert at the Merchant Risk Council, where she worked closely with leading merchants, developing proprietary training programs, shaping content for the group’s annual conference, writing articles on news and best practices and representing merchant interests with the major card brands and federal law enforcement.
Previously, she built and managed the fraud and payments department for high-end retail rental company Bag Borrow or Steal that lowered its overall fraud rate by 97 percent in 18 months. She has also served as an industry consultant, creating fraud and chargeback processes for Expedia and other online merchants.
