Digital River World Payments Forms ISO Pact with First Data

June 4, 2012

Digital River World Payments said Friday it has added a full card acquiring service for U.S. domestic credit and debit card processing through First Data Corporation. Under the agreement, Digital River World Payments will act as an Independent Sales Organization (ISO) reseller for First Data, offering a single commercial, technical and operational connection for online merchants that wish to use the First Data platform for card processing.

“This addition to our payment portfolio allows us to deliver greater value to our U.S. clients,” says Souheil Badran, senior vice president and general manager of Digital River World Payments. “Because we will act as a single partner for processing, settlement and reporting, our clients benefit from being able to quickly bring their products to market, optimize costs and reduce the number of providers they need to manage their global payments program.”

In the first annual CNP Awards, bestowed recently at a ceremony in Orland, Fla. during the CNP Expo, Digital River World Payments walked away with the Judges Choice honor for Best E-Commerce Platform/Gateway and as First Runner Up in the Best Processor category. First Data took the Judges Choice award in two categories: Best Processor and Best Mobile Solution.
