UAE Telecom Takes Aim at Online Payments for Travel Industry

Etisalat, the UAE-based telecom giant, has partnered with Dubai-based software firm TechTuners to offer online and offline payment solutions for the travel and tourism industry. Etisalat said it will pre-integrate its online payment platforms with TechTuners’ specialized travel and tourism software enabling airlines, travel agents, hotels and other travel-related businesses to use the Etisalat Payment Gateway for making online payments. “Etisalat Payment Gateway has been tremendously successful and widely accepted for e-commerce in the region,” said Marwan Al Qadi, Etisalat’s acting senior director of Mobile Commerce. “Through the strategic collaboration and partnership with TechTuners, we are now focusing on key industry segments—such as the travel and tourism sector—which requires the secured and efficient processing of online transactions keeping in view the unprecedented advancement of technology.”
