Kount Giving Away Device Fingerprinting Technology

Anti-fraud technology provider Kount Inc. said it will provide new customers its device fingerprinting solution for free. The Boise, Idaho-based company patented device fingerprinting more than a decade ago as part of its fraud-fighting platform. “If your business wants to eliminate fraud, device fingerprinting should be a given—which is why we're giving it away for free,” said Steve Rouse, Kount’s chief operating officer. “This is a critical component of a complete fraud solution; a valuable baseline functionality that provides the foundation to start protecting your business. Because we created, patented and own this technology we have the unique ability to provide it free of charge to our customers as part of our all-inclusive platform.” Kount said its Multi-Layer Device Fingerprinting improves businesses’ ability to catch and stop fraud by collecting a broad set of data that positively identifies a device in real time— whether fixed or mobile.
